Thursday, 17th. May

There has been so much going on of late at the Club, that we have fallen a bit behind in keeping things up to date here, but we will try and get things back on track asap!  Meanwhile....

Sunday Lunches

Although the Winter series is over - even if the weather isn't! - we are continuing to get a strong demand for some food and we intend to continue to make sure something will always be available.  Sincere thanks to Cathy Constable for last Sunday's tremendous Chicken and Chorizo casserole, with about 40 portions served, it was a huge success, but as there were a few who had to make do with Soup and a roll, it shows the importance of ordering yours ahead of the day!  But is there anyone else out there willing to rustle up a simple dish for another Sunday?  It need not be anything fancy, just warm and wholesome - so if you are prepared to have a go, do please email social@ardleighsc.co.uk and Jonathan will be delighted to work with you in organizing something.

Adult Sunday Afternoon training.

It looks as though this is going to be very popular, and so we have now set up an 'Event' so that you can register your interest in this if you wish to take part.  So do please register if you are would like to benefit from this, and we will then contact you to confirm. On the other side of the equation it would significantly help Fergus and me if we could be clear on who amongst our experianced sailors are willing to help on occasions with our Adult training, so if you willing to help, even if it is for just a few Sunday Afternoons though to the end of July, it really would be very much appreciated - the quickest of emails to commodore@ardleighsc.co.uk is all that is needed.

Junior Training - Updated info

My, is this proving popular!  For those who were down last Sunday - and apart from seeing a forest of Sails! - they heard that we are now asking all parents to 'sign in' their children so that we have an accurate 'count' of how many are going to be on the water, and they also heard a strong plea for help from the Parents of the children involved in all sorts of support aspects.  All the committee are just delighted at how succesful this is turning out to be, but the two Pauls - Berry & Constable - along with Alec Mumford really are feeling the pressure, so it is imperative they are given some help.  Starting this coming Sunday - 20th. - we will be splitting the groups up, ultimately into 3 - Racing, Intermediate & Novice, but probable just 2 for the 20th.

Whilst we will have the 'sign on sheet refered to above, we still need you to register your children via the 'Events' tab to the left, or just click  here - even easier - so that we can contact you by email if there are any changes, as well as enabling us to keep a formal record of who, and how many, have been involved.

NSSA / Weymouth Regatta

There has already been a number of bits on this page about this event, and my thanks to the Paul Berry and Constable for driving it forwards.  At the May Committee meeting it was agreed that the Club would 'sponser' each child who signed up for the 'full Regatta package' with a £75 contribution towards the entry costs.
